Apogee Reader is a native iPhone and iPad app for BookOrbit, the self-hosted server for ebooks, audiobooks, comics and PDFs. Point it at your server and read, listen and keep your place, offline too.

Works with your BookOrbit server.

You'll need one running to use the app. Apogee doesn't come with books or a server of its own.

Read & Listen

Play the audiobook and the ebook follows the narrator. The words being read appear in the player, and in the reader the page turns with the narration.

It's worked out on your device, for any book in your library that you have as both an ebook and an audiobook.

Read Aloud

A book with no audiobook can still be heard. Apogee reads it in your device's own voices and highlights each word as it's spoken.

A real reader

Typeset pages, with themes and fonts to choose from. Your progress syncs to your server, so the BookOrbit web app and your other devices pick up where you stopped.
