Importing books

Add books to your BookOrbit library from your iPhone or iPad, straight from the Share Sheet.

Share an EPUB, PDF, or CBZ from Files, Mail, Safari, or anywhere else and choose Apogee. A confirm screen shows the real title, tidied up even from a messy filename, along with the author, series, and description before anything is imported. Books without a cover get a generated one in the app’s warm brown and gold.

Update a book in place

Share a newer copy of a book you already have and Apogee offers to update it in place. Your reading position, highlights, and bookmarks carry over instead of landing on a duplicate. It’s useful for fanfic that updates chapter by chapter. If the old copy was downloaded, the app drops it and downloads the new file. More on the Fanfic page.

Sending books out: CrossPoint

From a book’s ••• menu, Send to CrossPoint pushes the book to a CrossPoint (XTEINK X4/X3) e-ink reader on the same Wi-Fi. Apogee downloads the book first if it needs to, then uploads it with a sleep-screen cover and your reading position.
